My stance on the middle east can be summarized in an analogy.
Lets say you (the world) has a disease. The disease is located on a part of your body, lets say your hand (the middle east). There is no cure for this disease and it can spread to other areas. You have two options. Let the disease spread through your body causing extreme pain in the process, or cut your hand off.
You would cut your hand off. It might be hard to live with for a while, but you can live in peace and with comfort.
