This mexican game is still played in some parts of mexico. A rooster is buried with only his head sticking out and riders on horseback ride by and try to pull out the rooster without slowing down or falling off the horse.

Whoever pulls out the rooster wins. By the time the rooster is pulled out it is sometimes killed either by its neck snapping when being pulled out or sometimes the horses end up trampling the rooster. Either way its a stupid game.
