First off I do not believe this woman should be charged.
The police are bound to the rules/laws the legislature passes and imposes on them and us.
So don't always go blaming the cops.

@Kmanbay Officers are allowed to use discretion..funny how that discretion always falls on the side of arresting and writing citations for everyone involved. Did you know they are allowed to let you go when they pull you over for speeding too...can give you a warning, verbal or written its their choice.

I know they are allowed discretion, and based on the picture we were given in this piece I think it would have been in the best interests of justice.
The DA has the ultimate authority on whether to file the charges with the court. Hopefully it stops on his desk.

This is why gun ownership should be allowed. This woman is a hero in my book. The previously she had some bad guys try and enter her home (thank goodness for her dog). But since she didn't shoot at them that night they must have figured she was an easy mark so I guess at least one of them figured he would try again. But this time she was ready, lol and BANG! More..
