@zziper They're not manned in the same way where you've got a dude with a joystick following suspects around because they're stumbling, and summoning the police in real-time to intercept a DWI. That is on another level -- our cameras in the intersections (which my city doesn't do) are programmed for catching red light runners and for speeders. Kind of different thing IMO.

- This is fucked up stuff. I hate the idea that the gov is "spying" on people this way. But, on the other hand, nobody wants to see a guy like this driving drunk, and possibly maiming or killing someone.
- In my drinking days, the cops would wait right in the bar parking lot. Some inebriated morons would drive out, and you know the rest. I think I prefer this over the cameras.
