Well, that's a no brainer

You'd pretty much expect a firm that sells video surveillance equipment to have top-of-the-line, high-tech system installed in their office, right?
Well, one thief seemed to think otherwise, or was just too dumb to realize.
The unidentified man broke into several businesses at an office building along North Pottstown Pike on Friday, West Whiteland Police said.
He trashed several businesses before coming upon Revolution POS, a firm that sells high-tech surveillance systems.

He grabbed a notebook computer and its bag, but simply walked by more expensive equipment, police say.
Several minutes into the robbery, the man finally noticed three night-vision equipped security cameras on the walls.
Figuring his every move was being recorded, the man pulled down the sleeves to his sweatshirt and even ducked once or twice before ripping the cameras off the wall.
Great plan, except -- he left the recordings.
"Thank God for the dumb ones," Det. Scott Pezick from West Whiteland Police said. "He actually, probably, at one point would have walked past the computer with the screen for the video surveillance system on it."
Now, investigators are sharing the exceptionally clear pictures with the public, hoping it won't take long to find the suspect.
If you recognize the guy, call West Whiteland Police at 610.692.5100.

LOL, for all the supposed sophistication of this security retailer, they did not have their own intrusion detection system (burglar alarm).
Unmonitored CCTV are expensive witnesses but don't do anything to prevent a crime unless their presence deters a potential intruder

I liked the clip of the "Remote Handgun Cam", this would be a perfect scenario to see it in use.
It was a typical surveillance cam with pan, tilt, zoom... With the added bonus of a handgun with a servo controlled trigger.

There similar systems you mention that are operational in some very secure locations. Many of these camera pods have IR for night viewing and complete motion detection capabilities. This unit also includes a remote mounted machine gun and is chained together in separate but overlapping kill zones.
