  • Using spotlights to attract and mesmerize fish so you can shoot them from four feet away is about as much of a "sport" as shooting turds in a toilet.

The death metal music just makes it more ridiculous.

BTW.... This comment is from a lifelong hunter/angler... not some PETA loving liberal like that idiot, Dingledd.

    • @EventHorizon2012 They dont use the light to attract the fish. Its only so they can see them since the fish are more active at night. These fish are a nuisance species and they are doing a good deed.

I didn't say I'm against it... I said it was stupid to project it as some kind of sport that requires any skill.... or a pumped-up soundtrack.

And of course the lights help them see the fish in order to shoot them... but don't pretend the fish aren't attracted to the lights as well. That's just not being truthful.

    • @EventHorizon2012 No these fish arent attracted to the lights. The boat is not standing still just waiting and attracting fish. They move slowly around revealing the fish while they are doing their thing. Plus its not as easy as it looks because of the water refraction and the fact that a bow requires skill to aim. I have several years of bowfishing experience, who do you think knows more about it, me or you?

There is no limit on carp they are an invasive species and are killing off the native fish populations so it's open season everyday all year long on those things
