A Florida member of the Democratic National Committee last Friday resigned her post after being caught red-faced sending out hate-filled email against Israel. The emails were exposed by BizPacReview.com a week ago after first being shared with South Florida Democrats.
Garcia, who still hopes to win this year's race for the Florida House of Representatives, had sent out two particularly vicious emails in which she expressed hatred of Israel and its ignorance of its defensive policies over the past decades. In one, she accused Israel of committing “crimes against humanity.”
In an email sent on May 24, 2011, Garcia wrote, “Slavery was ended, apartheid was ended and so this occupation must end.”
On July 26, 2011, Garcia sent out a second email which said “by supporting Israeli occupation with U.S. foreign aid, we are all complicit and guilty of their crimes against humanity. Palestinians had nothing to do with the Holocaust, and it's about time this guilt trip was taken off their backs.”
But that wasn't all. Garcia, whose potential new role representing the heavily Jewish District 88 would involve making decisions about how taxpayer money would be spent, had some definite ideas on the subject.
"I deeply resent U.S. taxpayer funds being used to continue Israeli aggression, (yes, confiscating other peoples' land and building illegal settlements is aggression), not to mention 'incursions' that kill PEOPLE, destroy civilian homes and infrastructure all over, mass concentration prison camps, etc, etc, etc.”
According to BizPacReview.com, the virulent emails began when Garcia forwarded a statement from the far-left CodePink organization criticizing President Barak Obama's alleged support for Israeli communities in Judea and Samaria and announcing a conference to oppose it.
Even in her letter of resignation, Evelyn Garcia did not bother to hide her hatred, complaining that she was “passionately advocating [her] position supporting the rights of people [she] felting were being harmed...”
In a second, follow-up statement on the Mondoweiss.com website, Garcia commented, “Don't our loyalty and patriotism belong first to our country – the United States of America? Or did they (the group that released the emails) really intend a conversation among the wider electorate of the extent to which U.S. taxpayers are subsidizing an illegal occupation by Israel?
And, who says it's an occupation and illegal? Well, let me count the ways: numerous United Nations resolutions, J Street, Jewish Voice for Peace, the Presbyterian Church, CodePink, religious and political leaders and public opinion worldwide.... How much longer will U.S. taxpayers subsidize the illegal, immoral occupation of Palestinian territories? How about conducting a discussion on that topic instead of persecuting one messenger? Don't Palestinians deserve their homeland too?”

The occupation of the West Bank?ie. the land occupied in the war Israel started in 1967.
By building Jewish only settlements there Israel is commiting war crimes.

"The occupation of the West Bank?ie. the land occupied in the war Israel started in 1967" Oh no, I thought the War of 1948, where psychotic arabs intended another genocide. Yes, and later in 1967 where the myth of Palestinian people came into existence.
There is no Palestine, there never was and I hope there never will be. End of story.

Your attitude is exactly why there will never be peace there.
Your kind and the radical islamists are two sides of the same coin.
A two state solution on the 67 borders is the ONLY option.

Nevermind the stupid silly Fakestinians that worship death, right?
Your attitude is typical of the useful idiot in Western countries. Don't even dare to compare me to a radical islamist, YOU're absolutely nobody to judge me, you got that?
"A two state solution on the 67 borders is the ONLY option". You know, for a long time I thought that was exactly the solution. But when you see the stupid arabs teaching their children martyrdom and other degenerate ideology.
Ask the re More..

The Arab peace plan signed by most all Arab/muslim nations:
http://www.al-bab.com/arab/docs/league/peace02.htm
The REAL problem is Israel does not want to give up the West Bank and continues to steal land and build Jewish only villages there - literal war crimes according to the Geneva conventions.

"Palestinians had nothing to do with the Holocaust, and it's about time this guilt trip was taken off their backs."
Untrue. The Grand Mufti of Jerusalem was an enthusiastic supporter of Hitler, and cheered the deaths of Jews in the camps.

true, he was one of Nazi germanys biggest supporters, and as a leader of the arabs there, he created plans to kill all of the Jews in British mandate palestine, if Rommel hadn't been stopped in N Africa, by allied forces and Jewish residents of Palestine, that is what would have happened

Hate-filled? Seems she was just expressing her opinion on the situation. It's not like she went off on an anti-semitic tirade...
Since when are people not allowed to voice their opinion? Did the first amendment get overturned while I wasn't paying attention?

@jum_runky i agree with you but its sad to say here in Canada and in the US party members are to pull the party line, if they step out of it they get their hands slapped

Party lines basically ensure that we never have real democracy. MPs and US house of representative members can't be responsible to their constituents when they have someone else telling them how to vote on issues.
What the people in their district want doesn't matter.

@jum_runky First Amendment applies to Citizens. When you become part of the government, your job is to protect the First Amendment, not use it to politically bash other nations. A politician doesn't have the same rights when they become public servants.

Garcia must be furious at the POTUS for his unequivocal and staunch support for Israel. If she supports the president, she supports his policies.

Is this one isolated incident within the Obama (Democratic Party) people? I think not. It's a common belief amongst many of the Democratic Party membership and it's not at all one isolated person of question.
She just so happened to be caught doing it.
