DETROIT -- Detroit Tigers players had a ball Thursday night after winning the American League pennant. Teammates adorned in "American League Champions" tees cheered as they sprayed and poured champagne on one another.
The Tigers decisively defeated the New York Yankees by a score of 8-1 Thursday at Comerica Park to grab the A.L. crown. They swept the Yankees in the ALCS after Justin Verlander led the team to a Game 5 victory in the ALDS against the Oakland Athletics.
We could end up seeing a rematch of the 2006 World Series if the St. Louis Cardinals can defeat the San Francisco Giants in the NLCS.
The World Series is scheduled to begin on Wednesday, October 24. Remember, you can watch all the action on FOX 2.

Highly doubtful. Most people that actually live in detroit aren't gonna act like that over the Tigers. Now if it was the Lions you might have a point but most of the Tigers support comes from the burbs

@jeffbaustin I had "few" wine stores, and one time i had these customers (it was the begining of the russian mob, back in the 90's)who asked me to make fake Champagne (same bottle with a bad sparkling wine in it), telling me "they don't know the difference over there".
The quantity was for 3 containers (54k bottles) and they wanna paid before, of course i said no thank you, but it caused me a case of conscience.

Yeah I was just talking out of my ass a bit. I really don't know what the reason was for cheap sparking wine but I"m sure cost was the high on the list of reasons for their choice. No reason to spend lots of money on champagne that's just going to just end up all over the floor right?
