That is true impression among average Chinese people, especially among those who work in service industries. They don't like to serve Europeans and Japanese because they are cheap. Americans and Chinese are generous when giving tips or bargaining prices. The Chinese like Americans. Don't believe propaganda BS in official media.c

Yep, as most people have already said, most taxi drivers, camel riders, horse riders or what have you, any form of transport and well bartering, they will butter you up as much as they can. Really, they couldn't care less where you're from or hate your guts, it's all about the money, like it is for most people. Let's not be naive here, Europeans travel more and are just more wise to the ways of this kinda thing.

@Nazel_Hut Thing is though in America waitresses are on terrible money some I believe are on $2.50 an hour and rely on tips.
Here no one is on less than say $10 an hour due to minimum wage law.If someone gives me good service I like to give them something but leaving £25 on a £100 meal is too much unless it has been exceptional.
