THE 1957 FARLEY SPECIAL HILL CLIMB CAR
Hello again here is another one of Euan's toys its the 1957 Farley Special. This is my all time fave racing car ever, when mad max wasnt kicking ass he was racing this monster on the weekends.

the front end is from a Morgan 3 wheeler, the chassis is a GN, the engine is a 1200 JAP v twin with not 1 but 2 superchargers hanging off the back of the car, this car is still doing similar times at hillclimbs that the modern full winged f1 style cars are doing at the same meetings. had loads of trouble last years racing because was deemed to loud!

My VW Beetle had the same trouble going up hills. I recommend 3rd gear maximum as 4th gear on even a slight incline will bring you to a stop. : D

@One Punch i know it sounds stupid but back then they didnt have a roll bar or seat belt preferring to be thrown from the car in a crash rather than strapped to it. balls of steel

He said its tricky thing to drive because of the 2 superchargers there is a 2 second delay on the throttle so you had to time letting off for corners 2 seconds before you get there so at 70 mph at the fastest part of the track your about 200 yards in head of yourself, if you understand me.. my dad may be driving this car a bit this year il do a walk round to explain how its built.
