The original video makes a great case for slacktivism...frilly piano music and nice looking people with scribbles on their palms= action. The fact that it was filmed in Toronto and that none of those people could probably give an answer to how the situation, much less realize the conflict isn't particularly black and white makes it worse.

Honestly, who gives a crap who kills who over there? Once we break our Oil dependency, all that BS doesn't matter to us anymore. The Taliban toured Houston right before 9/11 and then we destroy them. I think its fine that people that don't live anywhere near Syria push for a movement. But, just like KONY and all kinds of other "movements" it seems like a flavor of the month thing to me.
