www.arturia.com for some great demo software. They are the kings of software analogue synths. It's just not the same thing I'm afraid. Not by a long shot.

You can never go wrong with a Roland. Best keyboards out there. The girls play V-piano's primarily as keyboard controllers. The keyboards on most of our gear is just crap. They make stellar sounds but you might as well play them with meat tenderizing mallets as they are so clumsy.

    • @mlivsey Funny you should say that, I use a Korg SV1 to play my vsynth lol. Weighted keys makes a nice difference, but if i need any thing over 140 bpm i use the vsynth keyboard as i find it has a more snappy response and is easier to riff on.

  • Well, anybody that actually ADMITS to having made a DISCO recording of "Over the Rainbow" certainly must be respected....just for having the balls to own up to such a fact in his past. <cough>

  • Hammond and Buchla are the only ones I know that use(d) additive synthesis. Moog and the rest were/are subtractive.

So I could have used this video and some software and learned how to play a modular in 20 minutes. It took me eight years on and off to do anything useful with them. I guess I must be a slow learner.

Cool video though. Voted and favourited.
