On May 5th, 1993 Pam Hick's son and two of his friends were brutally murdered in what has became known as The West Memphis Three case. The three young boys were all 8 years old, three young men were wrongfully accused of the crime and were convicted in haste in what was believed to have been a Satanic ritual at the time. Two of the young men got life and one was sentenced to death by lethal injection. These men were recently released after 20 years on a rare plea deal allowing them to plead guilty, but maintain their innocence. Mainly because the state could not afford to be sued for wrongful convictions by the three defendants. The three men have joined in our efforts to get the case reopened and clear their names while giving some type of closure to these poor families of the victims. Parents like John Mark Byers and Pam Hicks (Hobbs) has did everything short of begging the state to reopen the investigation, but to no avail. As if matters couldn't get any worse Pam, who is the mother of one of the victims recently found her son's autopsy pictures on line for sale. When asked about it the state (Scott Ellington) said "I was asurred that no "physical" evidence has been compromised in this case, meaning the photos weren't considered physical evidence. Pam has asked repeatedly to be able to view the evidence to make sure it's safe, but has been denied every time. She was left with no choice, but to sue the state, John Mark Byers another parrent of one of the victims has now joined her in the lawsuit. Wherever you stand on the case I think we can all pretty much agree that these photos should not have fell in to the hands of someone this sick. The West Memphis Police Department and the state of Arkansas has failed these victims in what has gone on now for over 20 years..A few of us has started a new campaign for justice passing around pictures that briefly describes this injustice on Facebook.
