    • @jen8933 crushed a foot, talus splintered into vertical toothpicks at the talus body. took over a year to grow together enough to do a subtalar arthrodesis. fixator removal a year later. a second subtalar arthrodesis 18 months after that. woke up during fixator removal. heard the nurse telling me it's almost out. heard the sound of the tool the surgeon used to remove the fixator. yes, passed out after yelling. about to have a 4th surgery on same foot due to AVN Avascular Necrosis from the crown More..

      i once got my hand caught between a tree and a car. i didn't know i could yell STOP! that loud.
      also once at the car factory a car ran over my foot. i learned to love my uncomfortable steel toes.
      good luck to you for much improvement. once i turned my foot and ankle so badly that i had to give up my beloved vw 5 spd and get an automatic.
      but the cop--maybe he was tramatized more than he was hurt. it might have been shock.
