Here in Western Australia the Police went on an overseas recruitment program for trained Police. They got plenty of Bits and some Singaporeans and HK Chinese. The theory about the Asians was they would be better at dealing with other Asians.
It didn't work out as the establishment Anglos harassed them till they left the force.

Okay, just because he is oriental and an authoritarian, does not mean that the Chinese are policing the U.K. -lol. Both British and American governments have been turning authoritarian for quite a while and yes, even Asian people become citizens of the U.K.

his english and his apparent lack of understanding is pathetic. Learn the language and habits of people you want to police before you put on a uniform to protect the people. police are there to preserve order and protect the public. they now seem to be chanelling towards agents of the govt, or political groups.

Not policeman. These are so called 'Community Police support' aka plastic police.PCSO powers=
Directing traffic and pedestrians.
Confiscating drugs and alcohol and confiscating tobacco from under 16s.
Entering properties to save life and prevent damage.
Removing abandoned vehicles.
Issue certain fixed penalty notices.
They cannot arrest you.
PCSOs can require a person to give their name and address.
The power to detain may be used when an officer believes somebody has committed an offence, fail More..
