The clearing out McGonigle Canyon in late 2006 was SDMM's biggest accomplishment to date. With the help of many in the community, media, LE, and local governments, we cleared them out when they said it just couldn't be done. Thousands of illegal alien migrants have lived illegally in this canyon and the surrounding area for at least 20 years. They worked in the nearby tomato fields and wait for work at day labor sites. When the migrants were evicted, we tipped the scales of power back to the American citizens and our Constitutional rights to live in a peaceful and safe community where the laws apply equally to everyone. This greatly angered the "establishment" in San Diego and a barrage of lies and false accusations have been hurled at good Americans ever since. These accusations are 100% false and will not deter us from keeping watch on our communities and our government!
This is the real story of McGonigle Canyon...
SDMM first became involved in the large migrant squalor villages in early 2006 after complaints from the local residents about crime and mayhem going on in and around the area of the migrant camps just west of Rancho Penasquitos. Working with these locals, we were able explore these camps and document the filth, underage prostitution, pollution, and environmental disaster that has been going on in that canyon for over 20 years and supported by alien activists like Enrique Morones and Claudia Smith. There were about 300-400 illegal alien migrants (along with some women and children), mostly from Mexico and Oaxaca living in these makeshift shacks and camps. As homes were built closer and closer to the canyon and now are right up next to McGonigle, it became an intolerable mix of third world crime and living conditions and a high fire danger mixed with middle class American suburbia. The SDPD and the property owners (Horton and Pardee Homes) finally evicted all the migrants and removed the villages and their field chapel in Nov and Dec 2006 after this undercover news report aired on NBC: http://youtube.com/watch?v=sBHs0sETasY and part 2: http://youtube.com/watch?v=PMRR7oAwAKM Kudos to Anna Garcia and NBC 4 in L.A. for an outstanding hidden camera report exposing the dirty little secrets!
Because the SDPD allowed the organized prostitution ring to operate into Dec 06 after numerous complaints and evidence provided by NBC and SDMM beginning in October, a Grand Jury Complaint was filed by independent activist and school teacher John Monti on March 1, 2007. Instead of launching a proper investigation into the conduct of some officers in the SDPD, the police and city attorney filed 9 charges against Monti on March 19 stemming from an incident way back on Nov 17, 2006 in which he was attacked and beaten by an angry mob of day laborers in broad daylight on busy Rancho Penasquitos Blvd. SDPD reversed the crime and made suspects the victims and vice versa. John's trial is currently scheduled to begin on Sep 11. The status of the grand jury complaint is unknown at this time. Is there a cover-up going on by the city of San Diego and SDPD? San Diegans would like to know.
In a meeting with Mayor Sanders in January in his office, he and SDPD Captain Long assured us that the city would no longer tolerate illegal migrant camps in San Diego and would promptly remove them when found. The city has quietly removed many camps so far this year throughout the Rancho Penasquitos area. SDMM and local contacts are monitoring the entire area to be sure these illegal camps and the canyon dwellers do not come back. SDMM and concerned citizens are committed to the permanent removal of all migrant camps in San Diego County for the safety and security of both the local residents and the farm workers themselves. Local farms need to use the proper agricultural visa to bring in legal ag workers and provide them adequate housing and benefits.
In July an illegal alien criminal living in a migrant camp behind a middle school in Poway, allegedly lured a 13 year old boy back to his camp, gave him alcohol and then sodomized and raped him. The illegal "guest worker" was found later that night and is in custody charged with rape. It is believed he worked as a day laborer in the local area. The community was outraged and Poway officials have vowed to remove all migrant camps in that area to prevent future attacks.
San Diegans will no longer tolerate villages of unknown illegal aliens in our canyons and open spaces, lawbreaking employers who exploit them and encourage them, nor the radical activists who use the alien migrant workers as part of their reconquista colonization of California and their obvious socialist agenda! No mas!
