Just me,but I would have some felt on that table before I would be slapping the gun around on it. What was in the can? I like to use "Gunslick" foaming bore cleaner for the bore.

@Humanfuse
I will use just very thin coat of oil on the entire workings in and out when put away for a while,but I wipe that off in and out before shooting.

@gonehuntin Not particulary worry about that in this stainless steel weapon. In the can there is a product similar to WD40.

Good for you.
I clean mine as soon as I get back from the range.
I also make it a point to learn to dissemble and reassemble my gun's to the point where it's instinctive.

not how you clean a pistol. Use patches. And a Responsible gun owner never points and an empty gun or one he is cleaning at himself or anyone else (even a cameraman.

@Rational_Surge Not too worried about safety in a unloaded weapon.

@Panzerknacker2 Many people killed by "unloaded" weapons. Good form says to treat EVERY weapon as if loaded EVERY time.

No dry patches through the chanmbers after all that spraying? I always remove the crane and then the cylinder off the crane for a complete cleaning. I clean under the extractor too, where a lot of gunk accumulates. Every few outing I'll completely detail strip the pistol down to every small part.
