A couple of years ago I was a fishing guide, living in a remote area of
Alaska where guests would fly-in via float-plane and I would take them
fishing and bear viewing. On days off, I would kayak around, or video
grizzly bears or fish for myself. One nice day at the beginning of the season, I got the
courage to swim inside a beaver lodge.
Not recommended. You
don't see it here, but I got snagged on a branch in the entryway and
almost drowned. I would never have been found, just an empty kayak.
NOTE: I met with the BBC's Planet Earth series producer Alastair Fothergill at the International Wildlife Film Festival in Missoula, Montana and a PBS Nature producer, trying to interest them in some footage. They both cautioned about degrading the market-value by internet release and suggested all footage carry a watermark in the middle. I am adhering to their professional advice.

Beaver diving can be quite strenuous. You have to hold your breath as you go round the bottom and come up the other side gasping for air.

Was the air warm inside the dam? I imagine decaying plant matter piled up could keep it warm. But then that would probably also gas the beavers.

On days off, I would jerk off around the pool, or video my teddy bears while I play with myself. One nice day at the beginning of her bath, I got the courage to get in the tub and swim inside a beaver.
