Heavy fighting along Highway 13 as refugees in the nearby town of Chum Dunh are forced to pack up and leave what has become a crucial war zone. What you see here are ARVN soldiers and an occasional American advisor. Not sure of the date.
sloop !
you baby boomers know how to throw a party.your generation....wow....when are you going to pass the baton ?
love the vietnam footage though.thank you.real stuff happened hey?it's still happening.wow...i haven't missed anything.
take care man...the peep's listen to you.
I can feel the stifling heat and humidity, I can sense the anguish of the civilians, forced to leave their homes and being relocated to camps and having to be in the throes of this miserable war for a large part of their lives. Thank God it is over now and Vietnam is free from outsiders, including the French, America, and China.
Quoted comment by gerryowen: Good find Sloop, looks like Easter Offensive '72.
Agree, around April or May 1972. The 21st ARVN Division was pushing up Highway 13 to try an relieve the siege at An Loc. At that time An Loc was surrounded by the NVA 9th Division supported with tanks. The 21st Division never reached An Loc because of delaying actions by the NVA as shown in the vid. US air power finally broke the siege.

Here-say - 75,000 Vietnam era vets live on the streets, their own government cares very little what happens to them. Patriots fighting for freedom ending up on the streets. Notice American citizens care very little for their patriots ? On the other-hand look at how the Vietnam government treats their heros ? (Like heros)
I don't know why the American people put up with idiots running their country into the ground, unfortunately it looks like the whole paper money system has been taken out (US dollar is world reserve, Nixon ends the gold window in 1971) due to ignorant citizens of the United States of America.
Vietnam might have regained control of their lands but you have to wonder if they're co-operating by not saying anything about the gold window closing. Its not looking good for free and independent people around the world.
History is an account, mostly false, of events, mostly unimportant, which are brought about by rulers, mostly knaves, and soldiers, mostly fools.
