  • clearly the road maintenance workers fault !

You don't put cones so closed to the maintenance area on a motorway, you have to put cones well ahead, otherwise drivers don't have enough time to react !

    • @POLUX

Who knows it was already warned miles ahead...if you do not pay attention and more importantly, if you do not add a couple of kilometers of movie.

You don't have to put cones like that, you need to put a safety distance between the first cones and the first public works vehicle...
Even if it was warned miles ahead by a signal.

    • @POLUX You're supposed to follow at a sufficient distance that you can brake for any obstacle the car in front of you swerves suddenly to avoid. Especially if you can't see through the car in front of you.

100% the fault of the following driver.

  • This is why road workers setup cones for almost a mile before their actual position on a motorway. Stops shit like this happening. The people to blame in this video are the road workers for not putting up warning signs and closing the outer lane off much further down the road than simply right behind them.

  • A good warning for all those bumper lickers to maintain a safe following distance

  • Thank goodness they put orange cones a quarter mile ahead (or more) in my area. Too many idiot drivers where I live.
