Syrian opposition group reported at least 137 deaths at the hands of government forces Thursday as President Bashar al-Assad escalated a brutal assault against an opposition that wants an end to his regime.
Thursday marked the fifth consecutive day of attacks on opposition activists and civilians in the besieged city of Homs -- Syria's third-largest city -- which has become a flashpoint in the uprising.
The Local Coordination Committees, a network of opposition activists that organizes and documents protests, said that 110 of the deaths were in Homs; 10 were children.

The vast majority of the dead in the video are military age males.
The small number of women and children casualties strongly suggests these were mostly armed combatants.
Other reports suggest the 'field hospitals' are geared up to handle rebel battle casualties as well as act as a concentration point for heavy weapons to be redistributed.

it´s their own fault, you just don`t proceed like this and present yourself and your children as a target in the streets. you build a task force made out of the best men, carefully gather information about enemy whereabouts, then you dilligently and carefully plan a ambush on the intended target. and when it is time you go all out by any means neccessary, because to accomplish the mission is priority. thats how you do it and thats how they could have easily have gotten rid of assad

BBC are reporting that the Chinese are supplying ammunition and the Russians have been supplying new gunship helicopters to the Bashar regime. Basically the Chinese and Russians just want to bleed the Syrian economy dry then later strong arm the Bashar government to counter the US in the middle east. This whole thing has nothing to do with the people but is the Chinese and Russians playing strong arm politics with peoples lives.
