Cool. You do this all the time? Are you on the Gulf over here? Spend any time working Perdido Bay or Escambia Bay? I know some guys over at Alabama Marine Police on Cotton Bayou in Orange Beach. Nice folks.Always a pleasure to work with them.

I understand. I'm the same way.
Anyways, stay safe. I'll keep an eye out for you next time we get called out for a lost boater or SAR/Recovery.Have even worked Mobile Bay a couple times between Fort Morgan and Spanish Fort.
Be safe!

What ever you do, don't do like they do on the gator boys. Do like they do on swamp people, hehe.

Are you saying Steve Erwin thought gators are deadlier than saltwater crocodiles?

@skillkapt
he didnt say they were deadlier exactly.
he did say "these animals are quick & dangerous. i would rather work with a salty anyday".
i believe that is the exact quote. dont underestimate a gator. in nature speed is errthing. and as i mentioned in my other post i have the scars to prove it

But people don't get scars from crocs, they die. Steve Erwin grew up around crocs, not gators. His comment refers to his comfort zone. A gator will attack you if you piss it off, a croc will hunt you and kill you every chance it gets.

@skillkapt "A gator will attack you if you piss it off"
a gator is territorial. it will come after you from 50 yards away and ya wont even see it till its on ya.
the only reason why the gator only left some scars is cuz im lucky. but hey, you can think gators are sissys if ya want. but if yer ever in the states gimme a shout. i'll turn ya on to the same one that almost ripped my leg off :)
i dont think erwin felt out of his comfort zone. he went on to praise the gator in allot More..

well we've become so far removed from nature that ppl have forgotten that speed is the greatest evolutionary tool mothernature gave us.
sparrow vs eagle is a good example.
ya got a great job. my dad is retired from the dept of agriculture.
