I'm not a scientist, and won't claim to be one, but I can tell you this - the earth changes! Frequently, in a scale unfamiliar to humans. In fact, all that we have recorded about the changes during our time on earth can only represent a tick in time. Not enough to form an opinion by any scientific reasoning, and certainly not enough to say that what is happenning, or not happenning, is any different than events in the past where no human intervention was required.
This is an amazing planet we call home. It maintains an atmosphere that encourages life, and replenishes itself naturally. While I agree that as a race we should limit toxins that we put into the atmosphere, I must disagree that we are going though anything different than what has happened previously in our planet's history. The earth is cyclical, and changes in weather and climate are normal processes.
My final thought is this...there are 2,000 scientists who truly believe global warming is occuring, but there are millions of other scientists out there who think differently. In order for a theory to gain acceptance, it must first be proven as fact, not conjecture. When you are talking about weather and climate, it takes more than a few years of data...and that is the truth of the matter.

The climate change phenomenon has become better understood in the last 21 years. It is a fact you can not deny that the worlds climate is changing. It only benefits the petroleum industry to say that it is not at least in part due to CO2 omissions. This industry is in the pockets of every politician and the sooner people (dumb ass republicans) wake up and realize this the better off the world will be.
