Bill Wittle breaks it down

How do you overturn fundamental American rights without forcing people into the streets with protest signs, or even rifles? By doing it slowly... slowly... Bill Looks at how the Affordable Care Act and the National Defense Authorization Act threaten our First and Fifth Amendment rights and how both parties are slowly taking away the protections that guard us from the Ring of Power.

  • Very well said, unfortunately anyone opposed to the NDAA was marginalized and branded a "Tea Bagger nut job." But if I know America well, we are likewise slow to anger, but once angered awake they will realize that they have awoken a sleeping dragon with the fiercest of wrath. There is a great day coming, and I await that great day.

    Nice post Cajunmojo,

  • Bill Whittle does an excellent job with these Firewall episodes. It's always interesting to listen to him.

The fact is that modern terrorism is so insidious and dangerous that the govt needs broader powers to detect and prevent these bastards from attacking us again. That's why they have written and signed that bill. They understand the threat that we're facing better than us citizens, no doubt.

I have friends in govt and in defense intelligence, and I can guarantee you that the threat is More..

I share your concern, and believe the threat is real. Yet that immense power the government and corporate allies hold is a two-edged sword. It's been an unending process of 'we trust' and 'they take', with no end in sight. Because of this, we have more to fear than just foreign elements.

And I share your concern. However, this country is so firmly rooted in its traditions -- albeit a short history -- that such abuses of power are unfathomable.

If the govt detains an American citizen, and denies him his Constitutional rights under this bill, then I bet there's a damn good reason to do so. In that case I would grant the govt the benefit of doubt.

I don't believe there's some master plan -- a conspiracy -- to deny Americans their inalienable rights. That's the kin More..

I trust our govt to hunt terrorists and prevent attacks. I think that's a no brainier.

Do I trust our govt to wisely spend our tax dollars? Hell no.

  • No wonder Obame hasn't made more serious efforts against the second amendment yet (except for: BACK-DOOR gun control, F & F). He is busy laying the groundwork so that government power and societal division will be at the point where they can render it almost irrelevant by one signature.

  • Drop a frog in a pot of boiling water and it will jump out. Put it in a pot of cold water and slowly bring it to a boil and it will stay there and boil to death.

  • This alliance of few names has had several excellent videos, all on the mark regarding the destruction of the United States from within. Yet, I haven't heard one iota on solutions. Probably because the only solutions will brand you a domestic terrorist, with an all paid vacation to some secret dungeon.

  • Start with the patriot act made into law by Bush, and then go for Obama if this isn't about right vs left, democrat vs republican. The patriot act is the law that opened the can of worms, NDAA is just new clothes for the beast.

    • @blandadrops his point is it's getting incrementally worse and NONE OF US IS DOING ANYTHING ABOUT IT.

    • @blandadrops - That is the exact point Bill was making. Bush put the car on the track , Barry just installed a Twin Turbo , Nitro Boost and added extra weight on that son of a bitch.

    • @blandadrops

I beg to differ; In my opinion the single greatest leap in the incremental abrogation of our Bill of Rights would be FISA, signed into law by Clinton. When the people didn't hold Clinton and Reno accountable for the civilian deaths in Waco and the obvious violation of posse comitatus (and yes, David Koresh was a nut job) their next thrust was FISA. Every year since, every succeeding President has continued the assault.

I am not attacking your position or statement, I am attemptin More..

  • It makes no difference if you strongly lock the front door when you leave the back door to the alley wide open.

Most people only see the door locked to the street and think everything is just fine; the evil look to the back door first to see if they can slip inside and destroy what is rightfully yours.
