He is the only candidate running that served in the military, to say that he hates them is a bogus charge which you should be ashamed of making. So what if he said our soldiers committed war crimes, are you saying we never did? You might not like the truth but you shouldn't try to deny it or sweep it under the rug.

@golem American soldiers DO commit war crimes. We are not above it. But the actions of a select few do not represent the actions of many. 99 percent of our soldiers are good people and then there are the 1 percent that are changed by combat or were just loony to begin with that do crazy things.

Give it a few months, once the price of gas shuts the economy down for the second year in a row people will start to see that it's not that Ron Paul is that crazy, it's that things ARE THAT FUCKING BAD. I voted for Obama in '08, I don't agree with everything Paul says, but at least he lets me know on what things I disagree with him on, instead of bullshitting me like Obama and everybody else in the GOP.

All empires end and usually destroys the nation with it. Paul wants a strong defense and a strong military, he just doesn't want to be the worlds police any more, that is what kills empires.
You are right about others abandoning their independence and sovereignty to others, that is what we can not do. Problem is we have been on that path for years by going along with the U.N. and other allied groups.
