'Wife of Jesus' reference in Coptic 4th Century script

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-19645273

"An ancient scrap of papyrus makes explicit reference to Jesus having a
wife, according to a renowned expert in Christian history."

How about that, religious people?

Is it all just a tale about a ordinary man living in the middle-east calling himself the son of god, just like so many others ( with also the name of jesus ) ?

Are you people still worshipping the dictations of a few men living 2000 years ago wanting people to obey their rules?
Are the men, who copied their book/religion from gilgamesh and other scriptures still causing bigotry, homophobia, sciencefobia, delusions, racism and ignorance?

  • "Explicit reference to Jesus having a wife", yup the bride is known as his followers aka the church, which by the way isn't a building.

  • Religion is a crutch for needy people to get through life. With religion, it is unnecessary to think for yourself. It is the lazy man's placebo.

Heh...with Public Education it is unnecessary to think for yourself.
Just pay attention in class and put down the "Suggested" answers.

How many things have ever required you to actually think for yourself?

Even in Literature all you have to do is read to the end of the book and you have the answer(s).

  • Standard practice on Sept 19th here in Naples, our St. Patron performed the miracle of blood turning liquid.

Of course there's no science base, no evidence... nothing. People believe and keep believing because they must absolutely find answers to what has no answer (yet). It's just like refusing to accept the Universe has no center because you just can't picture this concept in your mind.

When something blows your mind you look for escape routes... that's what religion is. A back door to saf More..

  • With the Bible making a Big Deal in describing each Disciple and his mother Mary. Then all the events with such description as most significant, don't you think that in our Christian world. One of the most profound moments between a single man and his chosen woman, "marriage". That the Bible of all Books of Christianity would leave out the marriage vows of the singularly the most important person in Christian life!
The Marriage vows are profoundly celebrated in every religious group. N More..

  • It's amazing how people dedicate their entire lives in worship to a book written before people even knew what germs were. Idiots.
