Africans hunting elephants, hippos and water buffalos with spears
Using only spears, these men brutally kill several animals. This is an extract of a film about the african decolonization in 1966 called Africa Addio (Goodbye Africa). It is an unsettling eye-witness account of the chaos in Africa after the pullout of the English, French and Portuguese. It should be shown to everyone, everywhere, to help them understand what happened to Africa and why it's not simply 'poverty' or 'debt' that created the horrible state of impoverishment on that continent from Sudan to Angola.
This film is impressive because it shows the cost of war, not only to men, women and children, but also to game preserves, the environment and to the next generation that inherits these conflicts.

Much of the killing that you saw was NOT about food...
The movie this came from "Africa Addio" has around and been very controversial for 40 plus years.
Many of the animals killed in this video had lived in protected areas prior to the "decolonization of africa".
Most of the Elephants were killed for their Ivory, the rest of the animals were killed evidently for some food and more due to the breakdown in societal rules.
