Texas man sues over tasering

A Texas man whom claims police used excessive force on him during a traffic stop has filed a lawsuit against the Lubbock, Texas police department. The officer used a stun gun on the driver after the officer said the man refused to follow his order to get on the ground. The diver was tased six times before he was finally arrested but not formally charged with resisting arrest. The driver says the tasing constituted excessive force and plans to take the police department and numerous officers to court.

  • I get up every morning and thank god im a canadian.
    I grew up by the border, tv, culture, food, everything american influenced, bad or good. It always a big deal to go to the states. I am never going there again. I'm more terrified of the cops then I am the gangsters. What's even worse, it seems no matter what brutality is used against the the good guys and bad guys, the police are almost always found to be justified. What's it going to take, a rich politicians child getting tased into heart f More..

    How do you "comply" while you are writhing on the ground from be More..
    BULLSHIT. I have seen Canadian police brutality on the US news and it was all over a police officer being questioned in a convenience store. Canada has a shitload of problems-just like the USA. Nice try.

  • Do what you're told and you get a ticket.....DON'T do what you're told and get tazed. Pretty simple rule. He'll probably get a cool million for just being black and stupid.

  • Yes! Do as they say and no one gets hurt. Bleet like the sheep you are first. That indicates to the officer that you are ready to lick their boots.

    You week kneed losers are either:
    a) pussy whipped;
    b) neutered; or
    c) cops.

    hmmm... what's the difference?

  • ffO kcuF <-----(read backward) you two idiots.Do as you're told? GIVE YOUR HEADS A SHAKE.Ordering a man on the ground without probable cause, goes against any oath taken by these power tripping fruitcakes as well as the Ammendments set aside for us to honour and obey.I see malicious persecution,illegal use of force,false arrest and detainment.Need I say more? To the COP,I SAY,"I liked you better when you were doing your "thing" under the tables at the Turkish Bath.(wink wink)
