@Bleys I asked because according to wiki, Russian is spoken in Ukraine as well as well as Ukrainian..my understanding is most slavic languages are close in nature just like latin languages

As far as i know people in major cities still speak Russian but TV is in Ukrainian. As to give you an idea of similarity, im fluent in Russian and understand somewhat 70% of Ukrainian i would say.
