This is what taught me as a kid. Stole a ball from another kid, my old man got pissed at me and drove me to the closest police station and said "K, get out, you're going to jail".
I was crying, scared shitless, said please no, etc. It works.
This kid needs to be traumatized by his actions. The clerk is doing a good job scaring the fuck out of this kid, so maybe next time he has an urge to steal he'll remember the scary fucking moment that is what we're watching.

@Sacr3 unfortunately too many parents these days are afraid to discipline their kids, I was at a grocery store yesterday and there was some kid with his parents he was maybe 7, swearing and telling his mom to 'fuck off' when she told him he can't have cookies. she just rolled her eyes and kept walking.... great parenting, I can't wait to see that little shit when he hits highschool.

I remember stealing and they called my Dad. We lived a few blocks from the store so he walked over to get me and on the way back there was nothing discussed but all I heard was my Dad crying and I asked him why he was crying and he said because as a father I failed. I never stole again in my life so Dad, you didn't fail. RIP Dad!
