How the Ottoman Empire helped create Pakistan, and how Pakistan helped Turkey

We are what we are today because of our ancestors who sacrificed their lives for this precious nation. The Ottoman Empire have played huge part in our Islamic movement (Muslim League) in India before the independence of Pakistan.

Pakistanis, who if you take away the rest of India, had the economy of only 5,000 during the 1920s. Even then, during the Turkish independence movement, Pakistanis donated to Turkey with everything they had, sold their rings, gold, watches, and much of what they had to help the former Ottoman capital get independence.

Then, 25 years later, Pakistan was created and at that time was seen as a role model for the entire world in terms of economic growth. Even a country like South Korea, has it's capital city Sueol mounted after the Karachi plan proposed to them to this very day. 65 years after Pakistan's independence, Pakistan went from an economy of just 5,000 to 500 Billion (Turkey's is nearly a Trillion). Faced many wars in between, with India, the Soviet Union as well as the Arab-Israeli war where Pakistan played a huge part, and of course, the wars of today.

No state neglected the creation of Pakistan, except for the 300+ year old neighbouring state of Afghanistan. Pakistan has it's flag modelled after Turkey's, and during the Iranian Shah's national vist, Pakistan modelled it's national anthem to a Persian-Urdu script.
