I have a theory about that.
Liberals and progressive types have long opposed conservatives on points of policy. Whatever one thinks of conservative ideas, those ideas and principles usually rest (or are openly presumed to rest) on a foundation of traditional "old-fashioned" ideas and common sense.

@wharris it's the Arabs from Saudi Arabia , if you look at all the improvements they've done in UAE , between Dubai being primed to be a major Arab tourist destination, the state of the art port designed to handle increased goods to be sent in and out of the area, I'd say it is them.
