I think also the fact that he stays so calm, cool and collected; even with the strangest subjects he makes the listener feel he’s going to give a balanced platform for free speech that many others wouldn’t dare touch. One can imagine having a relaxed coffee and chat with him, even though we don’t personally know him. I think this makes his shows much more accessible.

I'll say this, I am old (51). And there's no virtue in that. However, I believe it is a very good time to be old, in the USA. But by the same token, there's never been an agenda more committed to crushing any sort of happiness, as now. I doubt Reagan had this in mind with "trickle-down". But here it is, Americans. (And British).
