A man was hospitalized Wednesday night after a van he was trying to chase down for hitting his ex-girlfriend's car ran over him with its right rear wheel.
CBS 2 / KCAL 9's Glen Walker was about to go live for the KCAL 9 News at 8 p.m. when the accident happened, capturing the entire incident on tape. The van's wheel appeared to squarely run over the man's hips.
The man's tearful ex-girlfriend said the white van hit her car and her ex-boyfriend chased after the van. She tried to cut him off, but he eluded her.
Police later caught the suspected hit-and-run driver.
The hit-and-run victim was taken to County-USC Medical Center.

Next time, just remember the license plate. The driver could claim self defense running off like that because the guy acted like a car jacker. Trying to jump into the van was a very bad idea.

Taking down the plate number and van description would have been a lot less painful if you ask me.

Well we all know the driver of the van was NOT trying to run over that man. That man (the boyfriend) should have not tried to go after the van. Yes we know it sounds ackward but all they had to do is take the license plate number and the boyfriend would have his health. Hero or dumb guy? U decide!
Holler!
