Bush Legacy , Trouble in America - The Cowboy President

George W Bush was "elected" the 43rd President of the United States...

...despite losing the popular election by 543,895 votes

and..

"winning" the deciding state, Florida, by an unfair non-unanimous US Supreme Court decision.

Bush was informed of the terrorist threat posed by al-Qaeda,

most notably with his August 2001 brief entitled: Bin Ladin [sic] Determined To Strike the US.

Following the tragic 9/11 attacks, Bush was complicit in provoking terrorists, by telling them to bring it on.

After failing to find Bin Laden & failing to stop the Taliban, Bush "thought" it best to invade another sovereign nation.

The ensuing 2003 Iraq War was pre-emptive, unprovoked & illegal.

Its main premise of putting a halt to the WMD's were proven to be false, as they didn't even exist.

On May 1st 2003, Bush notoriously declared:

the end of major combat operations in Iraq"...

... yet the illegal war, US atrocities, US incited sectarianism & subsequent insurgency had only just begun.

Consequently, the US has been involved in Iraq longer than it was in WWI & WWII.

Over 4,000 US Soldiers have been killed in Iraq.

In addition, over 30,000 US Soldiers have been seriously wounded.

Iraqi War Casualties are consistently under counted due to US propaganda purposes.

It is estimated that a figure of "1,000,000+" is a true estimate of the total casualties of war in Iraq.

The Iraq war not only proved costly in perished lives, but also in expenditure.

Projected total cost:

Up to "$1,500,000,000,000"

The overall waste in expenditure is even more shocking,

considering that Bush inherited a healthy

"+$200 Billion Surplus"...

...which was all squandered away, leaving the US budget deficit to ruins, at an approximate:

The end of Bushs presidential reign has left the US economy with cumulative debts exceeding:

Bush's first term recklessness also proved evident with his handling of environmental affairs:


"the George W. Bush administration has compiled an environmental record that is taking our nation in a new and dangerous direction"

Despite the monumental level of mistakes made by the Bush administration's first term,

the American electorate sadly decided to reward Bush, with a second term.

Bush temporarily recorded the "highest ever approval rating of a US President (92%)" in 2001...

... but he has also consistently recorded the lowest presidential approval ratings in US history; sinking to the dismal "low of 19%", as late as 2008.

In spite of his misguided ideology, Bush went on the record to proclaim:

"freedom can be the future of every nation"...

Bush promised to defend the US and the freedom of its citizens...

... but instead he used fear tactics to sign legislation that limited civil liberties in the US, which hindered habeas corpus and many privacy rights.

Bushs poor decision making and weak leadership came under further scrutiny, after his abysmal federal response to the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.

Following Hurricane Katrina, the Gulf Coast of Bush's America resembled a battered Third World state in chaos.

Despite this Bush had the audacity to reject aid from other countries.

To make matters worse, Bush's poor financial management, irresponsible spending & overall waste of expenditure contributed to a mega bust in the US economy,

which also affected the result of the world, through the
"Global Credit Crunch"

In addition, Bush has shown himself to favour the rich & resent the poor in the US, as:

he has failed to sufficiently subsidise the healthcare of poor children,

he has cut food stamps
for poor families,

whilst giving tax
breaks to the rich.

It is evident to see that Bush's reign was a disaster for the US and the world.
