  • makes you wonder what else was buried near by. After-all, sites like this didn't exist in a vacuum. The builders would have needed places to stay and with a site this complex, there must have been a lot of them.

One side comment, if this were a nuclear was storage site, the radioactive material would only have recently become inert.

    • @viennachoirboy
well it depends on which radioactive material it is. but you are so right about associated sites.
there were quite large villages around the pyramids during the constuction.
in the past everyday houses were not given as much attn as they deserved. i've read in many account that this or that worship site was built in the middle of nowhere and ppl came from elsewhere for cermonies. makes more sense that they lived down the street.
huge buildings are more permanant and kind of sa More..

  • Interesting stuff.

They didn't have LiveLeak at that time, so out of boredom they built those temples and, when they were finished, they buried them under 1000 tons of sand.

Unfortunatley noshoes prepare for the mods to delete because of copyright infringments. I tried loading all the Ancient Astronaut series and they deleted them... :(

  • it's really exciting that old things are still being discoved. some guy in england found anglo-saxon gold cache, in mexico 1300 year old mayan sculptures found and in egypt new statues of pharaohs.
when i was a kid i was facinated with old objects newly found. i worried tho that all the good stuff was already known.
    glad i was wrong.

  • It's strange how these sites of 'the birth of civilisation' have come full circle, and are now some of the world's most backwards places.

    Just sayin'.

  • 12,000 years ago might seem like a long time, but it is only 120 centuries. No apparent script. However, when they drag in an Atlantis author as an authority, I become suspicious about the story.

  • History Channel bullshit. There are already known entire cities that are 10,000 years old, and smaller settlements that go back 12,000 years. These have been known about since at least the 1960's. This doesn't push back the dawn of civilization at all.

  • I BET THEY GOT IT ALL WRONG, THE STUFF AROUND IN MAY BE THAT OLD BUT THE STRUCTURES MAY NOT BE THAT OLD BECAUSE THEN SOMETHING IS A LIE, EITHER CARBON DATING IS WRONG, THE FLOOD IS WRONG OR THE SCIENTIST ARE WRONG. If you look at the top of all those pillars there are indentations like it was a poured concrete of some sort and they pounded it down to get the air pockets out. Something isnt right, I will be that this site is newer and not older.

    • @Bionic_Woman I wonder what specific mental problems could cause a person to take seriously the notion that these are relics left by space-aliens who crossed the galaxy to build primitive stone monuments.

Ok, you think that god gave your profet some stone tablets and a promissed land...and you think I am crazy, for watching some TV show?

    • @Bionic_Woman I didn't say anything about a show, try reading it again. And, I'm not religious no, but, it's funny watching you dig for ridiculous reaching statements in an attempt to make your own perspective seem rational and sane.

    • @Bionic_Woman The voices in your head telling you I'm Jewish now? Seek medication. The weirdo aliens-built-the-pyramids fake documentary stuff you watch is giving you an over active imagination or something. FYI, Weekly World News is not really news.
