    • @truth2012 Wakesurfing is a sport involving riding the wake left by a boat. Ballast is used to create this wake necessary to wakesurf. The ballast causes the boat to sit lower in the water and create a wave behind the boat. Determining how much ballast to use is largely a matter of personal preference. Ballast on the front end of the boat will create long and short waves while ballast on the back end will create short and high waves. In general the majority of the ballast should be water with on More..

    • @Mc Sqweebs Thanks for the reply. Yes, I do know what wake surfing is. I know all about ballasts, and trims to cause a deeper wake. I have never seen a wake boarder gain back to the deck. I guess that doesnt mean he couldnt do it, but Ive seen guys doing this for a few years. I can trim my Mastercraft and get a pretty good wake, if Im on relatively smooth water. We also have guys chase barges and tankers to ride their wakes. It is dangerous, but they do it. Him coming back on board, seems imposi More..

    • @Mc Sqweebs Thanks sqweebs, didn't know that. Still seems amazing to me that he would be able to surf back on board. Seems to defy the laws of physics, since the boat has an engine to overcome drag through the water, but the wake board doesn't.
