Making a Damascus Steel Hunting Knife.
In this video, I show the entire process and techniques used in the making one of my knives.
I forged this knife from a 448 layer bar of ladder pattern Damascus that I forged earlier.
The fitting's were made from 100+ year old wrought iron, and the handle was made from cypress burl that I collected when I drove logging truck.

Excellent video, educational and is what should be shown on tv instead of mind numbing banality tv programs like X Factor and Big Brother. This craftsman is actually making something tangible; something useful that could be used to cut the nuts off the cock suckers that promote the aforementioned mind bending, damaging tv programs.

Nice knives. But watching you run sanders and grinders without a full face shield makes me cringe. Seriously, get one from Harbor Frieght or somewhere. I almost lost an eye to a grinder that kicked out a burr. The few bucks for a face shield will save you big on medical bills and possibly save an eye.

No offense to you, but everyone almost lost an eye at one point it seems. To each his own, If I want to arc weld with sunglasses, then so be it, peanut gallery be damned.

We have all these machines now. I can only imagine the arms that were created by hand in the old days. They were masterpieces.

Those are some bad-ass knives.
They make that Browning I bought for Christmas look like shit.
All you need to do now is stamp on the butt, "Proudly Made in the USA".
