Syria - FSA in Douma city target SAA T72 tank with RPG7 rocket (25/10/12)
Part of channel(s): Syria (current event)

Unfortunately, the camera was stationary and slightly moves to the left at the launch of the RPG, and at the impact. Good hit nonetheless.

  • was that a hit or was that just the tank firing? I would prefer to see the entire video i cant tell how far that tank is but RPG travels 500-600 feet per second that means that tank was about 1000-1500 feet away i dont know if that was a hit...

  • It's amazing that Syrians are still fighting back Assad forces with no Air force, Tanks, or heavy weapons of any-kind! And do not give me that BS about the west arming the rebels, they can not match the firepower of Assad.

Rocket launchers and heavy machine guns as the name suggests are heavy weapons, and they have a whole lot of those, plus captured APC and tanks...

Light weapons - 'man-portable' weapons that may require a small team to operate. The 1997 UN Panel of Governmental Experts originally listed "heavy machine guns, hand-held under-barrel and mounted grenade launchers, portable anti-aircraft guns, portable anti-tank guns, recoil-less rifles, portable launchers of anti-tank missile and rocket systems; portable launchers of anti-aircraft missile systems (MANPADS); and mortars of calibers of less than 100 mm."[16]

The rebels in Iraq battled your troops more than 6+ yrs and your troops had more larger and powerful army than the Syrian army. Eventually the rebels lost and this will happen in Syria as well. It will take time but rest assured their fate is death.

  • RPG has no chance against an ERA-fitted T72, unless they hit a weak spot between side wheels

  • "The UN's envoy to Syria says President Bashar al-Assad's government has agreed to abide by a ceasefire during the Islamic holiday of Eid al-Adha."

Nice, the FSA start breaking the ceasefire once again...Eid al-Adha (Feast of the Sacrifice) starts at 25.10. (i saw it through my window (millions of Turks X/)) - and if the SAA shoots back it is Assads fault or what?

the ceasefire is a ridiculous bad joke. "ohhhh ok... lets not fight for 3 days or something, are you ok with that?"

    • @Walter ...it is a very highleveled muslim feast and mostly the Sunnits (snackbarers/FSA) wanted to have that ceasefire to celebrate. But it seems like the last time: ceasefire and the FSA attacks...
