More recent AT warfare in Syria
Looks like the rebels got hold of some major arms depot since we lately see a lot of these third generation AT.

keep arming those islamists USA, after they are finished with Syria they will make jihad with these weapons against your soldiers like al-Qaeda did. If you don't learn from history, history will punish you.

@Caligula
They are neither Saudi nor US.
The first video is a Metis-M ATGM.
The second video is a repost of a T-62 being hit by a SPG-9 recoiless rifle.
The third video is a AT-5 Konkurs ATGM.
All of these weapins are used by the SAA,and have probably been captured form them by the rebels.

Alright, where are these weapons coming from? France? Czech? Who is financing them? Who are the brokers/middlemen? Lebanese? Saudi Arabia? Qatar? We are seeing an increase in more sophisticated weaponry being deployed here.

@Observe Decipher They are not sophisticated at all. The supply stream is aimed at reaching a covert balance between regional powers. The whole ME is being reshaped.

@sam-bam but a step up from unguided rpg-7. These new RPG's can rip through American ABRAMS tanks and it's European counterparts tanks like a hot knife through butter, especially if fired from the side. So yes, these are quite sophisticated weapons for the Middle East, especially if we remember the Iraqi conflict where local Jihadists could not get them

@copilot1111111 I doubt these weapons posses the sophistication needed to seriously damage western MBT's. I believe only the Metis-M could actually immobilize a westerin MBT, but not outright destroy it.
Nonetheless any snackbarring jihadi nut-bags would cream their pants at the opportunity to acquire these kind of weapons.

The zoom on that camera was impressive too.

@TEXAS HOLDEM123 Would you say they defeated you? Depends on what you wanted there. I think you cannot install some kind of democrazy there. You see it in Lybia, Egypt, Syria, Afghanisatn, Pakistan. They need a strong leader and maybe some kind of democrazy-process which takes years.

Yep. They look like Russian AT missiles, small (relatively) and more portable than older types. I presume more accurate too.
Tank cavalry looks like it's become a very undesirable job in the SAA these days.

@PeeBUponHim Except our tanks had depleted uranium in the armor, steel side skirts, and reactive armor panels... also we can see much further than these tanks and have thermal optics as well.
I say, "Good luck!".

@jcalifano2 I hope you're right! There WERE definitely a few loses of the M1A1s in Iraq, some thanks to the Iranian advanced armor penetrators being smuggled in. But I know we've since got the TUSK mods done, so presumably that helps boost their survivability in urban environments.

@PeeBUponHim Yeah but those losses were actually just mobility kills (correct me if you know otherwise) and I've personally witnessed a tank get hit with about a half dozen rpgs in one battle alone! The tank crew exited their vehicle and we had to leave it in place. Don't worry, a jet bombed it with a 500 lbs JDAM bomb to keep any tech out of the hands of the enemy.

2:00 2nd video... look at that poor flaming tank gunner bailing out and desperately rolling around to put the fire out. I'm sure he's in a lot of pain and suffering. Nevertheless, had the FSA not fired a rocket at that tank, I'm sure that tank gunner would have inflicted a lot of pain and suffering on other people with his tank gun.
