I've only been on shallow small ponds that only freeze over for a week or so at a time. This was so amazing, I could only imagine if ya cheeched before this. I would be so scared to step on that ice, don't care how safe anyone says it is.

Beautiful, and maybe a touch eerie. Used to love hockey when I was a teen in NH. Only sport I was ever good at. I remember once a fellow player fell in front of me. I was going too fast to stop so I jumped over him. Except he picked up his head to look and I caught him in the forehead with the tip of my skate. Changed the color of the ice for a while, I'll say that.
