The two suspects placed Little in a choke hold before they threw him to ground, took money from him and fled, police said.

“When I got off the elevator to come here to the door, one of them put his arm around me, to the floor and the other guy took money of my pocket, $370,” Little told CBS 2’s John Slattery.

He said the two thieves then took off down the stairs. He never got a look at them.

“I couldn’t identify them. I couldn’t see them because they came behind my back,” Little said.

Little, who said he was a merchant marine in his youth, had just gone to Key Foods on Lenox Avenue and cashed a check.

Originally from North Carolina, Little said he has lived in Harlem more than 50 years. He’s never been robbed until now, and hopes the two men are caught.

“I want to put ‘em in jail for life. That’s what I want,” Little said. “I wish I had a gun. I’d blow their brains out.”

The first suspect is described as a black male in his twenties, approximately 5-foot-9 inches tall, wearing a dark colored coat and beige pants.

The other suspect is also described as a black male in his 20s, wearing a beige hooded sweatshirt and dark pants.
