SpaceX Falcon 9 Two-Second Static Fire 
SpaceX successfully completed a static test fire of the Falcon 9 rocket's Merlin engines on September 29, 2012. All nine engines were fired at full power for the full two seconds, while the rocket was held to the launch pad. This was a full dress-rehearsal, including the engine
firing -in preparation for launch day, now scheduled for October 7,
2012.
