  • Most of the accidents in Russia and China could be avoided if people drove according to road conditions. The idiot driving with the camera just got someone killed, whats the rush pal. I would rather show up a little late for my appointment then 25 years early to the morgue.

Well its something like 35,000 annual deaths for America and 45,000 for Russia. Russia however has half the population of US but much worse road conditions. And yes they do speed.

I wasnt trying to make a point, just stating facts :P

    • @Bleys Don't look at population. Look at number of cars/drivers - then you'll see how bad Russia really looks.

    • @Eternal21

Dude its defiantly worse then US. But tbh the Russian accident problem is not the drivers. Its the penalty... until 2012 all you had to do over there was to pay a $10 ticket for speeding or $100 for driving drunk!! no points if you pay at the spot...

I lived 16 years in Russia and 20 in US. And i can tell you with absolute certainty that accidents do happen in both countries...

That aside i worked for about 8 years in New York's private hospital opening insurance claims :P Shit g More..

    • @Bleys Main issue is the sad condition their roads are in.

  • The winter did not claim this victim. The ever present Russian prevalent for driving too fast for the conditions did.

    • @bmused55 Good comment. Most accidents we see happening in Russia are caused because of blind foolishness, speeding, ignorance, bad judgement and overestimation of the driver's own capabilities.

  • Another idiot Russian driving on a snow covered road like it was dry tar.

  • The Russian winter was always fed with invading armies....Napolean.....Hitler.....those that came before them. Now....just a constant diet of Russian drivers. Not a huge amount to gorge on just a steady unending stream. R.I.P.

  • When there's snow on the ground it probably means you need to drive slower and pay attention to what's going on on the road. Seems like common sense to me.

  • The more crashes I see the more confident I feel. It only happens to speeding idiots.

  • Why drive like that in the snow? To win a darwin award, of course

  • Clue for clueless Russians: it's not the winter's fault.

  • Lets face it, it doesn't really matter what season it is in Russia. Same thing all year round.

  • I am a Ford fan, and a former Ford technician, but I wouldn't own another Focus. Every winter, there are a lot of these in the ditch and I can vouch for that as my wife had one. I experienced it first hand. The rear slides on slick roads. Be careful this winter everyone.

  • The thing is, in Russia, people very often just BUY their freaking driving licence without ever having to actually pass a driver's test.

My fiancée is from there... while riding with her older brother on the frozen roads of her hometown, I actually felt like in some kind of inner city version of Colin McRae Rally. The drivers there have absolutely NO regard for safety distances, speed or correct signalling. It really is a shame how many people have to die because of this.
    "Wtf man, I'm no More..

    • @MrChaos

Most of them died in Ladas so stop talking about buying driving licenses.

      Posted Nov-19-2012 By

    • @Maciejnz
So what? You think that Ladas alone are the cause for the high death rates?
They'd have to learn to drive especially in those old ass, rear-driven cars!

It's not the cars that kill, it's mostly driver incompetence.
