Jim Marshall founder of Marshall Amps dead at age 88
A true pioneer died today. Here is a tour of the factory(informative but the guy is boring) and Jimi Hendrix playing through one hell of a setup. Looks to be 6 heads at 100 watts each, powering 12 cabinets each with four 12 inch speakers for a total of 600 watts through 48 speakers. Some people wonder why they can't find that tone but when you play at those volume levels you reach a whole other realm. Most amps go to 10...these go to 11.
