A memo that appears to prove that aliens in flying saucers did land in New Mexico prior to 1950 has been published by the FBI.

The bureau has made thousands of files available in a new online resource called The Vault.

Among them is a memo to the director from Guy Hottel, the special agent in charge of the Washington field office in 1950.

Proof of (alien) life? A copy of the 1950 memo that recounts the discovery of flying saucers and aliens in New Mexico. The memo has been published on the FBI website

In the memo, whose subject line is 'Flying Saucers', Agent Hottel reveals that an Air Force investigator had stated that 'three so-called flying saucers had been recovered in New Mexico'.

The investigator gave the information to a special agent, he said. The FBI has censored both the agent and the investigator's identity.

Agent Hottel went on to write: 'They were described as being circular in shape with raised centers, approximately 50 feet in diameter.

'Each one was occupied by three bodies of human shape but only 3 feet tall,' he stated.

The bodies were 'dressed in a metallic cloth of a very fine texture. Each body was bandaged in a manner similar to the blackout suits used by speed flyers and test pilots.'

He said that the informant, whose identity was censored in the memo, claimed the saucers had been found in New Mexico 'due to the fact that the Government has a very high-powered radar set-up in that area and it is believed the radar interferes with teh controlling mechanism of the saucers'.

He then stated that the special agent did not attempt to investigate further.

Was it true? An image allegedly showing one of the aliens that were autopsied at Roswell in 1947

The town of Roswell in New Mexico became infamous after reports that a flying saucer had crashed there in 1947.

The bodies of aliens were said to have been recovered and autopsied by the U.S. military, but American authorities allegedly covered the incident up.

Another memo published in The Vault from 1947 claimed that an object 'purporting to be a flying disc' had been recovered near Roswell.

The disc was 'hexagonal in shape' and 'suspended from a balloon by a cable', according to the memo, marked as 'Urgent', to the FBI director.

The memo noted that the disc resembled a weather balloon - but claimed that a telephone conversation between the Air Force and the field office 'had not [word censored] borne out this belief'.

The disc and balloon were being transported to Wright Field for further inspection, the memo noted.

It added that the information was being flagged up because of 'national interest' in the episode, and noting that both NBC and the AP were set to break the story that day.

    • I don't know, man...to me, it always comes back to why don't they just show up and say, "hi" or destroy us or whatever they're going to do. To always supposedly come all the way here and then just hang around the outskirts of the planet instead of just friggin' landing puzzles me. Oh well, another glass of wine, shall we? LOL *hic*

    • Yeah, billions of galaxies, each with billions of stars, it's practically certain that there's other life out there. Unfortunately it's also practically certain that they will never know that we exist, and never be able to visit or communicate with us. The distances are too extreme, even if they can travel at near light speed.

Also life is probably far less common than the people in the fields searching for life want to believe. We're probably not going to find it anywhere else in our solar sys More..

  • why wouldnt a superior race of super beings not just use probes, androids or some bs that doesnt have them flying, crashing and then us thinking are they real, fake or what and disassemling their bodies into whatever. honestly this shit dont matter to me but if they do exist then get me the fuck off this rock!

    • Maybe they belive the radar or what ever brought down their ships was intentional. They see the wars, murder and hatred covring the planet and want to come and hang out with us???
Its kind of funny that alot of the UFO sitings today do appear to be more like probes, or remote vehicles.
I belive there is other life somewhere out there. I belive the government has PROOF, or they wouldnt be spending trillions on looking for it.

    • Or maybe, not every little light in the sky is space aliens.

    • I'll tell you why! Because travelling to a different planet, or dimension, or time, is something you want to EXPERIENCE. Not just send robots out and read the data. That's boring. People CHEER when humans walk on the moon. Humanity has gone further than ever before! So going to Mars; a different world!; would be awesome, but sending the robots there. -Just kind of nerdy.

    • oh hell yeah but once you get to the planet and you observe them having nukes and the thought mentality of a territorial primate, wouldn't it be in your best interest, to keep experiencing, to send a probe dowm to see what's up, or even crash one on purpose to see their reaction, just put two already dead pilots in there and presto we have ourselves a nice show. lol
just what i would do, then again i'm not a highly advanced super being, yet.

  • another example michio kaku gave was: look at this from this perspective.. imagine you are a ant next to a 6 line highway build by human.. for you (the ant), the highway doesn t exist. it s just a long piece of land. but for us it s a simple part of our everyday life. from your car, do you see the ant? does the ant see you car?.. they could be passing right next to us but we re so primitive in our understanding of the universe that we could be just like the ant.

  • If there was an incident at roswell. It must have involved hundreds of airforce servicemen, and staff. In the recovery,of bodies, and craft. Then the years of study,of bodies, and craft, would have involved hudreds more.If i where going by what happens in my workplace, where you only have to tell one person a secret, and within one hour the the whole works knows.I would have to say, keeping such a secret would be nigh on impossible.Imagine the the pillow talk talk going on.So honey what did you do today More..

  • "Does quantum entanglement abide by the speed of light?"
I missed that. No it doesn't. It's one possible way to send information faster than light speed travel, but it's still not travel that exceeds light speed.

You know we have already made faster than light transmissions?

    http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=bce_1285067072

I uploaded a video on it last year. A piece of Mozart's 40th, was transmitted and received, at what amounts to 4.7 times the speed of light.

    • Information and matter were both said to be limited by the speed of light, now that it is proven information can break it it's only a matter of time for matter to follow. They're both one in the same when you get down to it.

  • Two words..... Hadron Collider.
They have speculated time travel and possible bending of time with this collider. Is the technology something recovered from a crashed space craft? Perhaps something that was miniturized that we reversed engineered and are now trying to find a way to compact it and use?
Look at nature on this planet alone, you then realize NOTHING is IMPOSSIBLE.

  • The aliens already among us...they have built their deep underground bases...mining gold&uranium for their intergalaxy travels, and they have a pact with US military - don't fvck with us so we can use earth's resources for our spaceships, or we'll wipe humanity in blink of an eye...meanwhile we show u some of our technologies so u can keep your human under control and be the "master race!"

    • Could be, the governments official explanation of Roswell was that the SAC officers and military intelligence was incompetent and didn't know what a weather balloon was.

      Posted Apr-9-2011 By

    • The government's "official" explanations of Roswell started with weather balloons. When that didn't work, they changed it to project Mogul. And when that didn't work, then they changed it to testing high altitude dropping of a mannequin. am I missing any other "official" explanations?

      Posted Apr-10-2011 By

    • not sure, I quit paying attention to their explanations after I heard them say the people in charge of the countries nuclear weapons were incompetent.
