  • Whats missing here are the paradigm shifts in both parties after the civil rights act, LBJ was quoted as saying, we (the democrat party) will lose the south for a generation by signing that bill and they lost it for more than that. The real argument isn't within history but the present, and what side has no room for minorities today? That would be the republicans, who btw are the ones hijacked by extremists.
