Fascinating documentary of the Vietnam air operation that was a deception plan devised by the legendary US Air Force veteran of 3 wars, Colonel Robin Olds.

The US Navy and Air Force engaged in a bombing campaign on North Vietnam that eventually wound up with more tonnage of bombs being dropped then in World War 2. After 1967 Lyndon Johnson, and Nixon who succeeded him, discontinued bombing of the North by air until 1971-1972, at which time Nixon ordered it continued in order to pound the Vietnam to the peace table.

The North Viet forces also had Russian supplied aircraft and pilots (and pilot training) and massive numbers of flak batteries that fought back fiercely and claimed many American lives and aircraft.
