Detroit Precinct Shooting Raw Video

Police are continuing to investigate the abduction of a 13-year-old runaway, who reportedly was chained to a toilet and kept as a sex slave. The probe goes on although the man thought to be responsible was killed after walking into a police station and opening fire.

Lamar Moore’s home on Sorrento burned Tuesday, but not before investigators found evidence that he kidnapped and sexually assaulted the girl, along with video equipment police believe may have been used to film sex acts, police sources told The Detroit News.

The teenager escaped Sunday and ran to a nearby home to call police.

Hours later, Moore pushed through the revolving doors to the 6th Precinct, jumped over a barrier and began shooting. Police officers, some of whom were wounded, returned fire, killing the gunman.

  • This puts the shooting in a different light. Even though the report is fragmentary, it indicates:

    1. Moore was a pedophile and a perv.

    2. He commited the shooting because police were closing in on him.

    3. Some accomplice of his later destroyed evidence of his activities.

    4. All his relatives saying that "He wouold never do a thing like this" were full of it.

    • People are often surprised by how even shotguns require a skill set to be effective.

      They are heavy and awkward to people not experienced with them. Unless aimed very deliberately, they don't cause as much damage as one might expect.

      When I was a kid, I would try to hip-shoot the way I'd seen in cowboy movies. I couldn't hit diddly. But properly aiming with the stock braced to my shoulder, I could hit anything, moving or otherwise, within fifty yards.
