Finest movie ever made. It got little attention in theaters, it was completely over shadowed by Forest Gump. The original Stephen King novella was also great (Rita Hayworth And The Shawshank Redemption). If you haven't read the book, you've missed an inside joke from the movie. When Andy asks Red why they call him Red, he says "Maybe because I'm Irish". He says that because the character in the book is a little red haired Irish man.
